Apr 23, 2004 · When the Nova came out I bought one and sold my 835. I personally prefer the Nova for a few reasons. First, its lighter. Second, I feel it has a better action, and for me it is easier to cycle. My 835 was one of the models that had trouble with the extractor not grabbing the shell when you cycle the action.

It is an excellent shotgun for an under $500 gun. It has many positive features that I like including a rotating locking lug bolt, a very positive extraction, the ability to take up to 3 1/2 " shells.
