Marine edge. This is profile is more often seen on stainless steel countertops. It’s a built-up thickness, but rather than mitered, the outside edge is raised. I’m assuming the term “marine edge” refers to how this detail keeps liquids from running off the countertop. These are the most popular countertop materials.

See my pic above. That is a 4" mitered drop edge with a mitered corner to boot. you can't even see the seam where the mitered pieces meet up close in person. Properly done a mitered joint looks like solid stone except for a possible grain transition (which is minimized if the sawing is done properly)
