I recently purchased a beat up old Springfield single shot 12 gauge shot gun. I'm having a very tough time identifying it. On the left side of the receiver it says: Springfield Arms Company Chicopee Falls MASS USA. Inside the receiver the numbers 54569 are stamped and I think a little A or an arrow next to those numbers.
