Ive actually found a workaround for this issue, you need to use "manage saves" instead of using the "continue" option. This creates a new save that doesn't glitch when your primary franchise file does. I was 8 seasons in, my file wouldn't load. But I had a random save from a coach retiring 1 season earlier, and it loaded up. I was a season back on time, but didn't lose everything.
