In late January we hiked the 5-mile loop trail at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park near Marietta, GA. It starts behind and to the right of the Visitors Center and climbs steeply to the top of Big Kennesaw Mountain. After about 15 min. you'll climb steps that put you onto a parking lot (a scenic overlook). There are no trail markers.
