Interim secret clearance

The question is, has an interim clearance ever been granted later, after being denied? I think the answer is no, but here’s my situation. My timeline is like this: 2/7/22, SF86 submitted by employer. 2/19/22, email from employer saying interim was denied. 3/4/22, interview with investigator. 4/11/22, investigator calls references.
