How to turn on dunk meter 2k24

To get contact dunks this year you have to flick the right stick up then hold it down until you the bar hits green it's no longer just holding the the right stick down. I don't know it's annoying I'm trying to figure the same thing out when I flick up and hold down to try to do a contact dunk my meter is coming up.
