Nov 12, 2016 · A while back my Check Engine Light (CEL) on my Equinox (2011 3.0 V-6 FWD) came on and code P0442 (small leak evap system) was indicated. The vehicle remote start was inoperative. Since that is a pretty insignificant code (and I was pretty busy) I decided to clear the code, reset the gas cap, and monitor the situation.
