Hopefully this has a 5.56 core and not a 7.62 one like the Rugged Razor. The Razor was a huge disappointment to us... I actually thought they had stamped a Razor 7.62 with 5.56 markings as a 7.62 projectile fell down the end cap and core, unlike our Recce5 or AAC SR-5, both way underrated cans.

Avoid Dead Air. It’s not just the Sierra-5 that’s had problems recently. Their lack of response (stuck their head in the mud). Lack of customer service. Blocking people on social media. Etc. I have several of their cans and I just need to head to the range and blow out my sierra 5. The Sierra-5 is optimized specifically for high-performance out of the 5.56 platform in sound and flash suppression, while maintaining a low blowback, short pressure impulse. The Sierra-5 XM ships with the complete Xeno system (adapter and flash hider). But thanks to the 1.375-28″ HUB socket you can change your mind without regret. Far from ideal, still, but if you want a dedicated 5.56 can, it's a no-brainer over the Sandman S in all categories (cost, weight, length, sound reduction). Flash at night is also minimal, even on the 10.5. The Polonium is better than the Sierra 5, but not by much. I'd say it's similar on tone but feels less concussive indoors.The Sierra5 is deeper/lower and I’d prefer it. Perceived gas in muh face was a little less with the Sierra5 as well. It’s also a tad lighter and substantially shorter than the SMS. You can tell it was designed for the 5.56. Get the Sierra if 5.56 is all you’ll use.
