Hi! Im due October 10th, and at my appointment today my ob said I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. What does that really means, is labor coming soon? My appointment prior to this one a week ago I was not dialated or effaced. Unfortunately I walked around 2cm and 100% effaced until I got induced 2 weeks later.

Mentioned it at my apt. They checked me and I was dilated to 3 cm and 50% effaced. Sent me to the hospital for monitoring. Was contracting but not feeling anything at that point, felt fine.
